Project Title: naturecollabor(Art)exhibition
Coordinating Group: Hikot-hungihong Art Collective
Coordinator: Norman F.Narciso
This is a coined word stating the dynamism of production-may it be in nature, technology and art. Nature referring ton the ultimate source of art creation. Thus birthing new forms of creation through inspiration in production. E- refers to electronic or technology and machine. Collaboration refers to the artists producing collaborative efforts as one unified work.
It reconcile how man situates himself/herself and defines his own space -vis-à-vis technological development and climate change.
It is a multi-disciplinary exhibition that utilizes natural found objects, industrial wastes and E-technology.
This collaborative exhibition. A venue of converging themes of nature, environment and technology.
Objectives:
- To celebrate Ocean Month and Labor Day
- to explore new possibilities in art production
- to provide an alternative venue for students, teachers
- to instill awareness sensitivity and sensibility
Project Nature: Art Exhibition with Workshop Component and Forum
Time frame:
1. Installation ( a week or 3 days before the exhibition)
2. Opening Date: May 1, 2009
3. Target Date: May 1-31, 2009

hikot-hungihong
“Hikot-hungihong” is an art collective that provides venue for artists with different media of expressions and for art discussions. The “Hikot-hungihong” terms are interpreted beyond its literal meaning. The pioneering group members construe the group name as the “bond of souls”. Thus, allowing every artist to take his/her part in stimulating humanity’s consciousness on different key issues.
